Pat was admitted as a Solicitor in 1984 having graduated from the University of Liverpool. He joined Berry & Berry as a Solicitor in 1986, initially working at the Whitefield Office as an Assistant Solicitor.

In 1988 Pat opened a branch office in Eccles before moving to the current Eccles office in 1992.

Pat has been a Criminal Defence Duty Solicitor on the Bury, Eccles, Salford and Manchester schemes since 1987 and a Partner in Berry & Berry from 1989.

For 25 years Pat has gained specialist knowledge as a criminal practitioner and became a Higher Court Advocate in 2007. He frequently chooses to exercise those Rights representing clients in the Crown Court.

During those 25 years Pat has routinely dealt with complex and serious cases of Murder, Manslaughter, Robbery, Rape and Sexual Abuse and has been instructed on Terrorism and Gangland Prosecutions for the Defence. He has a keen interest in Inquests and the Representation of Interested Parties.

Pat is married with two children and indulges in fervently supporting Manchester United. He also enjoys travel and experiencing contemporary culture, though even he is unsure what that really means.
